Patrushev: America does not need Ukraine, but the natural resources of the Russian Federation

“The Americans would really like for Russia not to exist as a country at all,” Patrushev said. According to him, although the United States “declares its interest in ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” in reality it is “interested in Russia.”
He cited the “enormous wealth” that Russia possesses as the reason. “Americans believe that we own them illegally and undeservedly because, in their opinion, we do not use them as we should use them.” To prove his words, Patrushev cited “the words of former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright that neither the Far East nor Siberia belongs to Russia.”
Patrushev called the United States the initiators of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. He said that Russia does not encourage volunteers to join the militia groups of the DPR and LPR, but it is “impossible to really prevent” this.
