Patrushev: Ukrainian Russophobes will face a severe economic hangover
Moscow - Kyiv, October 15 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev in an interview with RG said that a whole generation of Russophobes was raised in Ukraine, but no one is going to feed these youth either in Ukraine or in the EU. Therefore, he believes, even young people poisoned by hatred of Russia will still “sober up.”

“An entire generation was raised in Ukraine completely poisoned by hatred of Russia and the mythology of “European values,” said Patrushev. “It does not yet realize that these values, even in the positive understanding of this term, are not really intended for Ukrainians. No one is going to raise the standard of living in Ukraine or accommodate these young people in Europe, who themselves are having great difficulty coping with very serious challenges and threats.”
“I think that the “sobering up” of Ukrainians will be harsh and painful,” believes the Secretary of the Russian Security Council. “We can only hope that this will happen relatively quickly, which may be facilitated by a number of objective reasons.”
“Regardless of further developments, the importance for each other - Russia and Ukraine - will remain, Patrushev is sure. “Ukraine simply cannot develop successfully without Russia, whether anyone likes it or not.”
