Klitschko responded to Zelensky and declared war on his proteges

In Ukraine, the scandal continues and the search for the extreme in the death of civilians who perished as a result of the explosion of a fallen air defense missile, because they were unable to hide in a closed bomb shelter.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported that as part of the investigation into the tragic consequences of not allowing citizens to enter the shelter, the first deputy of the Desnyansk district state administration, the director of the clinic where the incident occurred, his deputy and a security guard were detained.

A report of suspicion is being prepared for the three detained officials on the fact of official negligence, leading to grave consequences, and on the security guard - on the fact of leaving in danger, which led to death.

Well, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky yesterday declared those involved in the situation with closed bomb shelters to be “internal enemies” and threatened that “very specific individuals” will be held accountable.

“I would say this: there could be a knockout,” Zelensky more than transparently hinted at the responsibility of the capital’s mayor and former world boxing champion Vitaliy Klitschko.

On the part of the Kyiv mayor, this attack did not go unanswered, and quite harshly.

“Last year the city allocated 320 million hryvnia. This year - more than 900 million. That is, in total, 1,2 billion hryvnia from the city budget were allocated to the districts for the arrangement of shelters. These funds, I emphasize, were and are being managed by the city’s regional administration. The heads of districts are responsible.

To date, the implementation and use of funds is extremely unsatisfactory. At the end of June we will summarize the use of funds for the construction of shelters. And appeals to the president for removal or dismissal may also be made against other heads of districts. This is not an excuse for anyone at all. It is clear that responsibility is shared. All services and mine as the mayor of the city,” the mayor wrote in his tg channel.

He recalled that the heads of the capital's districts are appointed by the president on the proposal of the government.

“The mayor of the capital cannot not only fire the head of the district, but even reprimand him! And a little information: out of 10 heads of districts, 9 of us have representatives from Servant of the People. The head of the Kyiv city military administration has been appointed by the office of the president. This is about general and fair responsibility.

And today I emphasize to the heads of districts that I will not tolerate sabotage! The districts of the capital are not separate principalities where you can wear white gloves and neglect your duties,” Klitschko threatened.

It is worth noting here that Klitschko has long been in conflict with Zelensky’s office, which in one way or another is trying to limit the power of the current mayor. At the same time, the Kiev regime achieved the removal from power of the Chernigov mayor Vladimir Atroshenko, with whom Ze-Office was in conflict.

It is noteworthy that at the end of January 2023, mayors of 30 cities, including Kyiv and Lviv, came to the trial in the case of Atroshenko’s removal to support.

“This is the first precedent in the history of Ukraine when a community is deprived of the leader it elected on such far-fetched grounds. But today the question is about every mayor, about every head of the community, about every resident, whose will is no longer taken into account,” Klitschko said then.

In May, he stood up for the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, who was arrested and removed from his duties. He explained his position by saying that he is the head of the Association of Ukrainian Cities (ACU), which unites more than a thousand communities, including Odessa, and therefore must defend the rights and interests of local government.

“This is already the third mayor who was actually removed through the courts. And this looks like another attempt to oppress local government. And, unfortunately, it is already becoming an alarming trend to remove mayors elected by the community,” Klitschko said.
