Pavel Durov equated Crimea to North Korea
Persons included in any sanctions lists of the USA, Great Britain, the European Union and the UN Security Council will not be able to take part in any of the rounds of the closed ICO (initial coin offering - initial placement of cryptocurrency coins or tokens that give their owners certain rights) of the Telegram Open project Network (TON) by Pavel Durov.
This is stated in the standard form of the Gram purchase agreement between Telegram Group Inc., registered in the British Virgin Islands. and investor, reports RBC.
The authenticity of the corresponding document to RBC was confirmed by one of the Russian entrepreneurs, as well as a top manager of one of the venture funds who are considering the possibility of participating in the ICO project.
The prohibition also applies to the immediate relatives of such persons - children, spouses, parents, siblings. In addition, any citizen who is a resident or residing in a territory subject to sanctions is prohibited from participating in the ICO. The agreement states that at the time of drafting they are considered to be Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria.
It is noted that Durov did not respond to RBC’s request.
