“I will not be able to join the summit participants due to my obligation to meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon,” the message says.
We would like to remind you that European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker previously canceled his visit to Kyiv, citing deteriorating health reasons.
Thus, already now, even before the start of the summit advertised by the Kyiv authorities, it became clear that it would be held in a reduced status - without the participation of top EU officials. In this way, Europe demonstrates its dissatisfaction with Ukraine and, as it were, hints at bright prospects for Ukrainian European integration.
