Sad record: Ukrainian pension is the smallest in the world
Kyiv, February 10 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – Due to the sharp devaluation of the national currency, Ukrainian pensioners have become poor, even compared to their “colleagues” from third world countries. This was reported by the press service of the Party of Pensioners of Ukraine.

“Only in recent times, with the level of pensions remaining unchanged and the price of food and utility tariffs almost doubling. The same amount, i.e. almost doubled, the standard of living of pensioners has deteriorated. In fact, this is a crime of power against 30% of the population. There is nothing like this anywhere in the world,” said Nikolai Kukurika, chairman of the Party of Pensioners of Ukraine.
The Party of Pensioners proposes to consider the monthly budget of 12,5 million pensioners, who on average live on 1500 UAH. The government considers such pensions decent. At the same time, utilities cost 500 hryvnia, food with a limited diet costs 1200 hryvnia, medicines - 200 hryvnia, repair of clothes and shoes - 50 hryvnia, soap, toothpaste, laundry detergents - 50 hryvnia, other expenses - 100 hryvnia. Total – 2100 hryvnia.
“If we consider that today we received the market exchange rate for the dollar at 24-25 UAH, then medicines and food products will increase by about a third in 20-30 days. Under such conditions, pensioners simply will not survive; in a month or two they will become equal to the standard of living in third world countries,” emphasized the head of the Pensioners Party.
