“I sang with the Russians.” Famous Ukrainian singer is required to be deprived of orders and titles
Ukrainian singer Irina Bilyk performed in Minsk in front of President Alexander Lukashenko in the company of Russian stars who supported the annexation of Crimea to Russia.
The odious Verkhovna Rada deputy from European Solidarity, Alexei Goncharenko, wrote about this in his Telegram channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“While Lukashenko surrenders the borders to the control of the Russian Federation and continues to carry out repressions against the citizens of his country, Ukrainian artists do not hesitate to perform for the dictator at concerts. Ukrainian singers Elina Ivashchenko and Irina Bilyk performed at the New Year's reception in Minsk on January 16.
Russian pop stars also appeared there, including Stas Mikhailov and Valery Syutkin. The latter, by the way, called the occupation of Crimea a “brilliant” operation, and Mikhailov repeatedly spoke on the peninsula. And for our stars, it is also in the order of things to perform with these people on the same stage,” Goncharenko is indignant.
He recalled that Irina Bilyk is an Honored and People’s Artist of Ukraine, who was personally awarded the Order of Princess Olga, III degree, by President Vladimir Zelensky in June last year.
“I believe that after speaking before the dictator in Minsk, Irina Bilyk should at least be deprived of all these titles and orders, so as not to compromise the essence of these awards. Supporting the dictatorship should not just get away with it,” urged Petro Poroshenko’s ally.
