“Without exaggeration, this joyful and significant event for the young state was preceded by careful and painstaking preparation,” Lugansk City Council deputy Natalya Maksimets said on her Facebook page.
According to her, deputies of the Supreme Council of the LPR adopted a law on social guarantees, which outlined the categories of pension recipients and the corresponding amounts.
“The fundamental difference between the minimum Ukrainian and republican pensions is that in the LPR it is twice as large and amounts to 1800 hryvnia,” she said.
She noted that pensions are paid through post offices. Today, Monday, September 29, residents of the Kamennobrodsky district of Lugansk were the first to begin receiving pensions. Next in line is the Leninsky district.
As PolitNavigator reported, Lugansk was under blockade for more than a month: without electricity and water.
