Pensioners from Donetsk are suing Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk over the termination of social payments
Kyiv, November 26 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine registered the first claim of a citizen living in the ATO zone against the president to cancel the decree, according to which the payment of pensions and social benefits in territories uncontrolled by Ukrainian troops was stopped.

“Our claim has been accepted and registered. The defendant is the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who approved the decision of the National Security and Defense Council by his decree, which is contrary to the law,” said the plaintiff’s lawyer Tatyana Volkova, quoting her Ukrainian News.
According to Volkova, she protects the interests of Donetsk resident Vladimir Steschenko, born in 1942, who previously received a disability pension.
In his claim, he demands the court to declare illegal and cancel presidential decree No. 875, which puts into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council. At the same time, she emphasized that today many socially vulnerable residents of Donetsk, who were left without money due to the cessation of payments of well-deserved pensions and intended social benefits, can file the same claims.
According to Volkova, such claims have a chance of being accepted by the court.
“The Constitution of Ukraine guarantees equal rights to all its citizens. And this Decree introduces a distinction between citizens of Ukraine on a territorial basis,” the lawyer said.
Volkova also reported on a similar lawsuit filed in the District Administrative Court of Kyiv by Donetsk resident Nina Ivanova against the Cabinet of Ministers. In this case, the plaintiff demands that Cabinet Resolution No. 575, regulating the termination of payments in the ATO zone, be canceled as illegal.
As PolitNavigator reported, today in Donetsk all payment terminals were disabled: thus, people cannot even buy food with the savings that they still have left.
Let us recall that earlier information appeared that Communist Spiridon Klinkarov and Lugansk pensioner Felix Ivanov protested in the Supreme Administrative Court the Decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the termination of servicing bank accounts of residents of Donbass.
