Meat products become more expensive in Ukraine before Easter

Meat products in Ukraine have increased in price by 10%-12% compared to last year.
The head of the Ukrainian Rural Union, Ivan Tomich, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think the real increase in price (of the Easter set of products) will be from 7 to 15% compared to last year. The meat group has already risen in price by 10%-12%. If we forecast for April 20-28 (Easter period), then more will definitely be added. It’s different in different places, it’s hard to give an exact figure, but there is a trend where high-quality home-made products, especially home-made shank, are in good demand,” he said.
