Before the elections, Facebook made an unpleasant surprise to sponsors of Ukrainian political advertising
From March 18, Ukrainian advertisers on the social network Facebook need company authorization to reach users, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About it wrote Radio Free Europe project journalist Christopher Miller.
The innovations started 13 days before the presidential elections in Ukraine.
In addition, Miller was confirmed on Facebook that posts from Crimea and the Russian-backed LPR and DPR are banned, although these territories are officially recognized as Ukrainian.
Digital strategist for Vladimir Zelensky's election campaign, Mikhail Fedorov, told a foreign journalist that most of the detected fakes come from Facebook - and the company did not respond so quickly to the team's complaints.
Now, sponsors of political advertising in Ukraine are required to publicly disclose themselves.
