Before his speech in the Rada, the NATO Secretary General stopped by Odessa and praised the disengagement in Zolote
Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Odessa on Wednesday, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmitry Kuleba wrote about this on Twitter.
“I am glad to welcome NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the North Atlantic Council in Odessa!” Kuleba wrote, adding a photo with the NATO Secretary General.
Speaking in Odessa, the NATO Secretary General welcomed the process of disengagement of forces launched yesterday by Ukraine in Zolote in the Donbass.
“We welcome all efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution of the conflict on the disengagement of forces and strive for a diplomatic solution to this conflict in the East of Ukraine. I welcome the new initiatives and new dynamics that President Zelensky has launched towards a peaceful solution to the conflict, and NATO supports these efforts. But NATO also notes that Russia has a clear responsibility to implement the Minsk agreements, and must withdraw all of its armed forces and all its officers from eastern Ukraine and stop destabilizing Ukraine. We have seen some progress that has been made in Stanytsia Luhanska and would like to see this example continued in the future. But a lot still needs to be done, since the ceasefire is being violated,” Stoltenberg said at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmytro Kuleba.
The NATO Secretary General also complained about cases of attacks on OSCE unmanned aerial vehicles carrying out surveillance.
On October 31, Stoltenberg will speak at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv.
