The transfer of one of the churches of St. Sophia of Kyiv to the Filaretites will be challenged in the courts
Ukrainian human rights activists will use the courts to seek the cancellation of the transfer of the Refectory Church of St. Sophia of Kyiv to the Kyiv Patriarchate, unrecognized in the Orthodox world.

The head of the NGO “Public Initiative” Oleg Denisov stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the Ministry of Culture and the leadership of the Sophia of Kiev National Reserve did not provide documents on the basis of which the temple was transferred to the Filaretites, given that the canonical church has been seeking this since 2010.
“We will need to move on to the judicial side of the matter and file appropriate lawsuits in order to obtain documents confirming the transfer of this temple to the denomination of the Kyiv Patriarchate. So that they can then be properly studied, taking into account the fact that the UOC, starting in 2010, has been submitting applications and seeking the transfer of the Little Sophia for holding services there,” Denisov said.
