This was stated in Amman by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the German Foreign Ministry reported.
According to Steinmeier, a teleconference was held on Monday, in which French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin and Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov also took part.
Steinmeier said that “at the latest tomorrow, the contact group will make direct contact with representatives of the militias via videoconference,” and “the location of the direct meeting of the contact group will be agreed upon,” which should take place immediately after that.
Let us recall that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel noted the need for an early resumption of the work of the contact group on Ukraine, possibly in the format of a videoconference. After this, a flurry of criticism rained down on Merkel.
