Peremoga: “Antonov” sold six modified “corn trucks”

The Ukrainian airline Constanta has decided to purchase six An-2-100 aircraft, which recently passed certification, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was stated by the General Director of Constanta, Evgeniy Gavrilov, reports the National Industrial Portal.

“There are quite a few sites where we work, for example, with unpaved airfields: not every plane will land there and deliver the cargo intact. The An-2-100 is capable of this, which is important, it can transport up to 4 tons of cargo, and this is a very respectable indicator. Foreign analogues of such aircraft are more expensive, their maintenance costs large sums, although they are weaker in terms of operational characteristics,” Gavrilov said.

Before this, Vyacheslav Boguslaev, director of the Motor Sich company, which supplies engines for this aircraft model, said that the An-2-100 had already been demonstrated in China, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The aircraft will soon be presented in other countries.

The An-2-100 is a modern modification of the famous light biplane An-2. The An-2-100 is designed for passenger, cargo and mixed passenger-cargo transportation on local air routes. It is capable of autonomous operation at small airfields in a wide range of airfield heights, in simple and difficult climatic and meteorological conditions.

The main difference between the An-2-100 and its predecessor is the power plant with MS-14 cruising turboprop engines developed and produced by Motor Sich JSC.
