Ukraine must leave the UN if the majority of the countries of the General Assembly do not support the resolutions proposed to it, as was the case yesterday in the vote on Crimea. The leader of the “Radical Party” Oleg Lyashko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

So he was outraged by the fact that only 70 countries voted for the anti-Russian resolution, which constitutes a minority in the UN.

“Yesterday I watched the victorious exclamations of President Poroshenko and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they were jumping almost to the ceiling, “what a wonderful resolution of the UN General Assembly.” Yes, I am grateful to those 70 countries that supported the resolution proposed by Ukraine on Crimea. But I would like to draw your attention to other figures - 76 countries abstained and 26 countries voted against. That is, of the 200 UN members, more than half were either indifferent or voted against it. This shows that the UN, like the pre-war League of Nations, which made it possible for Hitler to unleash a war in Europe, the UN in its current form is ineffective. Because when the majority of members of the UN General Assembly do not care that international law and borders are being violated, or that foreign territory is being seized, then how can this organization respond to the challenges of our time? This means that the UN General Assembly, the UN itself, the UN Security Council, where Russia is still a member, an aggressor country, they require reform. And in this form, their existence is a waste of money, to which we pay statutory fees. Therefore, either the UN will be reformed, or, I believe, Ukraine should leave the UN,” Lyashko said.
