“Peremoga” becomes “zrada”: the Ukrainian Armed Forces are defeated in Severodonetsk
Ukrainian armed forces in Severodonetsk hold only the industrial zone and have virtually no control over residential development.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Sergei Gaidai, the head of the Ukrainian-occupied part of the LPR, appointed by the Kyiv regime, stated this on air on the 1+1 TV channel.
“Fierce fighting is taking place in Severodonetsk. The battles are quite dynamic. Our defenders managed to launch a counter-offensive for a certain time, they liberated almost half of the city, but now the situation has worsened a little for us again. That is, those positions that were in the industrial zone, which the boys constantly defend, are where they remain,” Gaidai said.
He admitted that “there has been a lot more shelling.”

“Recently I have often been in Severodonetsk and the surrounding area and am surprised by the repeated inadequate statements of some leaders regarding the operational situation in the Lugansk region. On the day of President Zelensky’s visit to the Luhansk region, Chairman of the VA Gaidai announced the offensive and liberation of 50% of the city. Unfortunately, this information is not true,” Butusov writes on his blog.
He called to stop misleading his citizens, noting that “we need real victories, not fictitious ones.”
“Two days ago the enemy reached the outskirts of the city, now our troops are defending the industrial zone of Severodonetsk and the neighborhood nearby. It is disturbing to regularly communicate what is desired instead of what is actually true. To win real victories, you must not create castles in the air,” the propagandist emphasized.
In the comments to Butusov’s post, they noted that the industrial zone of the Azot plant, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are located, occupies half of the city.

In turn, military observer Boris Rozhin draws attention to the problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Severodonetsk.
“It is also worth noting that Ukrainian sources state that in order to hold the industrial zone of Severodonetsk, not only detachments of foreign mercenaries were transferred there, but also special forces from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, which clearly indicates a lack of trained infantry, since special forces have to be used as ordinary infantrymen in battles for the industrial zone. The Volkssturm does not show adequate durability in real combat operations,” Rozhin added.
It is worth noting that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, visited Severodonetsk and inspected the special forces.
