“There will be no victory, we should have agreed to Istanbul,” Karasev
The victory of Ukraine in the form of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reaching the borders of 91 is impossible in the near future.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on his video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Karasev, Ukraine had to agree with the agreements reached in Istanbul last spring, and not talk about the visit to Kyiv by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who dissuaded Ukraine from signing a peace agreement.
“It would be better if Arakhamia was silent, that he “came, said “fight” and we went to fight.” I understand that it was necessary to fight and so on, I do not question the choice in 22, in April, although I think that “Istanbul” was a good deal for Ukraine, taking into account subsequent events, what went wrong, Maybe we’ll see this again and again,” the expert said.
“Everyone wants victory, to reach the borders of 91, to liberate Crimea and all occupied territories. Here is victory, but it is impossible in the near future, you understand. Therefore, the fact of the matter is that there is no outline of a “plan B” in case of an unfavorable combination of circumstances on the front line. But we should think about a backup option now.”
