Ukraine faces the most difficult times in its modern history.
Former Deputy Minister for the Affairs of “Occupied” Territories Georgiy Tuka stated this on the air of the Pryamoy TV channel controlled by ex-President Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Tuki, the fighting in Ukraine will last another two to three years.
“I am pleasantly surprised by the change in the rhetoric of “green” propagandists and I believe that in about six months, if this insight continues at this rate, then the truth will begin to be conveyed to us, to society, that there can be no quick victory, that the cessation of active combat action before winter is some kind of morbid imagination exclusively in Ermak’s head, and the only way to stop active hostilities is surrender.
Maybe this is Ermak's hint. Unfortunately, we have more than one year ahead of us, in my opinion, at least two to three years of active military operations to liberate our land,” said the former official.
“I think people need to be told the truth. If the situation is difficult, if the situation is alarming, if the situation requires the consolidation of the entire society, then this is what needs to be said. Why say that in a month there will be a turning point, and then say that the destruction of a certain warehouse is the beginning of a turning point, the destruction of the tenth warehouse is a long-term turning point, the destruction of the 30th warehouse is a continuation of a long-term turning point?
