Postponement of elections in Novorossiya is the last concession to Kyiv
The postponement of elections in the LDPR to 2016 is the last concession to the Ukrainian government. This was discussed at the round table in Moscow “How will the elections be held in the south-east of Ukraine?” said the director of the Institute of Russian Abroad Sergei Panteleev.

“The authorities of the LDPR are doing everything to comply with the Minsk format, and postponing the elections is the next step towards compliance with Minsk. Moreover, this is the last concession of the people's republics and the last chance for Kyiv to fulfill existing agreements. But will Kyiv take advantage of this chance?
Panteleev also spoke out in support of the Minsk agreements.
“The Minsk agreements are an important victory for the policies of the Lugansk and Donetsk republics. Thanks to them, the civil war practically stopped in Novorossiya. If we objectively look at what is happening in Novorossiya, we will see that the republics continue to build a peaceful life, legitimize power, etc. There is a further movement away from Ukraine and towards Russia, as the only reliable ally.
To see this, you can symbolically compare the center of Donetsk and the center of Kyiv. If Donetsk has remained the city of roses, and even under shelling public utilities work there, then Kyiv, in which democracy has won, has turned into... not at all the city that we knew and loved.”
