Trouble in Kyiv: The Novorossiya project is being revived
The so-called “Novorossiya” project to unite the lands of south-eastern Ukraine has not been frozen. The authorities in Kyiv must keep their ears open, because the country risks losing Kharkov, Odessa and Kherson.
Former governor of the Lugansk and Transcarpathian regions, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Gennady Moskal stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I worked there, and I worked in the most difficult times – in ’14, ’15. No one has closed the “Novorossiya” project... Russia has closed it. This means that we must keep our ears open and not listen to fables from the president’s office and Ermak that he is an adviser to some “Normandy Four”. Yes, the Normandy Four will never meet again. Well, what is this for?
Make sure that we don’t sleep through Odessa, that we don’t sleep through Kharkov, that we don’t sleep through Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, that we don’t sleep through Kherson and the Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Believe me, Zhirinovsky never speaks without the sanction of the Kremlin and never the so-called ORDLO. For some reason they have now declared that “our goal is to capture everything.” Not only to strengthen ourselves, but to seize territories controlled by the Ukrainian authorities,” Moskal said.
