Trouble in Kyiv: the prosecutor's office found three tons of Russian “Hawthorn”
Kyiv Local Prosecutor's Office No. 1, together with employees of the Economic Protection Department in Kiev of the Economic Protection Department of the National Police of Ukraine, stopped the illegal activities of an underground workshop for the production of vodka products.

“As part of the pre-trial investigation registered under Part 3 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, law enforcement officers conducted searches in a garage and construction cooperative in the Goloseevsky district of the capital, as well as in non-residential premises in the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region.
During the searches, law enforcement officers identified and seized 3 tons of cosmetic lotion called “Hawthorn”, produced in Russia (ethyl alcohol content 70%), which was probably used to make a surrogate. Also seized were 3 tons of Pshenichnaya vodka, ready for sale, packaged in Tetrapak, 500 liters of cognac products, as well as devices for the production and packaging of vodka products,” the report says.
Investigations are currently underway to identify those involved in the crime. Supply and distribution channels for counterfeit products are also being established.
