IDPs from Donbass do not want to sing in Ukrainian
Musical groups that moved from Donbass to Kyiv do not want to write and perform songs in Ukrainian; they prefer the more universal English.

Presenter Sonya Sotnik spoke about this on Radio Liberty, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many of those who became forced migrants, who left Donetsk and Lugansk - there are a huge number of musicians, fantastic groups - this is Fontaliza, this is Sinoptik, which are simply tearing apart Europe and they are from Donetsk, they are from Gorlovka...
These are the ones that worry me more. They are interesting to me... Firstly, we play their music, secondly, we talk about their news, this is also very important, thirdly, we support their concerts, because it is a very high-quality product, they make very cool music.
But again there is a problem - they sing in English. And that's why we can't give them enough airtime that they deserve. Because we have a bias towards Ukrainian music,” Sotnik commented on the situation.
