“The prospects in Ukraine are extremely dismal,” – Russian senator
The concentration of political power in Ukraine in the hands of one political force will not reduce internal political tension in the country.
Senator Oleg Morozov announced this today at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Paradoxically, difficult times await Ukraine, despite the resounding victory that Mr. Zelensky and his party suffered in this battle. Hard times await Ukraine, because this vote is absolutely not programmatic or ideological. This is a vote to demolish the previous hated regime, a vote of hope. People with very different views united and threw their votes into this basket called Zelensky with an absolute lack of understanding of what this political force, which has the opportunity to dominate in Ukraine, will do,” Morozov said.
He doubts that Zelensky will be able to realize his two stated program goals: ending the war in Donbass and improving the socio-economic situation.
“There was a period when you could smile, joke, play, and not engage in politics. This allowed us to obtain such a result. Now every step that is not accepted by society will entail losses. Will Zelensky succeed or will it turn into a total failure and become the end of Ukrainian politics? In this case, the prospects in Ukraine are extremely deplorable,” Morozov said.
