The first to go: a militant from “Tornado” pleaded guilty to torture and hostage-taking
An ex-fighter of the notorious “Tornado” company, recruited from former criminals and then disbanded for atrocities, Yuriy Shevchenko admitted his guilt in torture, abuse of power and illegal imprisonment.

This was stated by the prosecutor of the military prosecutor's office, Ruslan Kravchenko, on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
He said that Shevchenko confessed, after which he asked the court to change the preventive measure in the form of house arrest. He noted that Shevchenko is in a pre-trial detention center with a broken leg and spoke in court via video link.
“As a result, the court made this decision and changed the preventive measure for this accused in the form of 147-hour house arrest. He said that he admits his guilt in committing crimes under Article 126 (hostage-taking), 365 (beatings and torture), XNUMX (abuse of power or official authority) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and gave a confession,” Kravchenko said.
In pre-trial detention center the odious ex-leader of “Tornado” Ruslan Onishchenko confirmed this information on his Facebook and added that Shevchenko is under XNUMX-hour house arrest and will be under guard.
The rest of the Tornadoites have had their detention period extended until November 4, and the next court hearing is scheduled for August 30.
