“This is the first time I’ve seen such a Western operation”: a CIA veteran about Ukraine
Western intelligence agencies are conducting the most massive information operation in history.
This was stated on the PolitWera Internet channel by the former chief regional analyst of the CIA for Central American affairs, former deputy director for transportation security, support for anti-terrorism training and special operations at the State Department for counter-terrorism, Larry Johnson, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Johnson, they were able to use the media and social networks to convince the population of the need to support Ukraine.
“I myself am shocked that they could count on this, but, nevertheless, they really believed that not only Ukraine could withstand, but it could also provide counteraction and even advance towards Russia. Why did they think so, although in eight years they couldn’t even take Donbass, Ukrainians,” said the former CIA officer.
“We must admit that there is a hidden campaign going on, including that carried out by the CIA, including that carried out by MI6 and other intelligence services, which is in full synchronization with social media - Twitter, Facebook and the main traditional media like television, radio, Internet.
In general, people are brainwashed to such an extent that, naturally, they believe all this. I was born in 55 and have never experienced anything like this in my life. This is the first time I’ve seen the scale of such operations,” Johnson said.
