According to him, he himself regularly visits the peninsula and feels that this is a different state.

“When I go to Crimea, I feel like I’m entering the territory of another state. “I don’t hide it, I travel absolutely legally, with my usual blue passport, and I pass through - no one stops me on either side, no FSB or SBU officers ask me on the road and I do everything within the constitutional framework,” said Balitsky.

At the same time, in response to a provocative question from presenter Natalya Vlashchenko about the fact that his son, living in Crimea, was photographed on a yacht flying the Russian flag, Balitsky emphasized that in Crimea the tricolor does not bother anyone: “I think this does not bother anyone, because, if you live in Crimea, wherever you take a photo, you may end up under the Russian flag, because there are a lot of Russian, Russian flags there.”
