He reported this on his Facebook page, commenting on his interrogation on Friday at the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea.
“The interrogation again concerned the events of February 26, 2014, in particular, the recently arrested operator of the ATR TV channel Eskender Nebiev. My position on this case has not changed, as I reported to the investigator. I believe that the events of February 26 should be the subject of investigation exclusively by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, since the events took place on the territory of Ukraine and concerned the preservation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. I consider the arrest of Akhtem Chiygoz and the charges brought against him to be absolutely groundless,” wrote Jelal.
According to him, after a couple of hours of communication and watching the video, he safely left the Investigative Committee.
“By the way, the summons was supposed to be handed to another of my colleagues, but so far his meeting with the investigator has not taken place,” added the first deputy chairman of the Majlis.
Let us recall that during the riots on February 26, 2014, after supporters of the Majlis and Ukrainian nationalists used military gas during a stampede near the Armed Forces of Crimea, Simferopol residents Igor Postny and Valentina Koreneva were killed.
