The cities will be the first to burn: an expert predicts a civil war in the United States
Society in the United States is strongly divided, its various groups are burning with mutual hatred, which in the near future could result in a full-fledged civil war.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United States is very divided, the level of hatred of various groups in America towards each other is extremely high.
The country is also divided geographically. Relatively speaking, the globally oriented population lives mainly on the coast and in large cities. At a time when people oriented towards national populism and Trump live in medium-sized cities and in the center of America.
This divide is extremely wide, and we must consider the possibility of a civil war in the United States very seriously,” he said.
Sergei Markov also emphasized that the current civil war in the United States will not be fought on the fields of major battles, as 150 years ago, but in big cities.
“It will probably not go the same way as in the XNUMXst century, when armies moved towards each other. Rather, these will be clashes in big cities. But some kind of civil war is, unfortunately, possible.
And this is connected with the deepest split in the United States, which continued throughout Trump’s reign and only deepened,” the expert concluded.
