“The Ministry of Education of Ukraine staged a real persecution of teachers in Kyiv, Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk, who in June of this year. took part in the scientific conference “Russian language in a multicultural world”, held in June of this year. as part of the “Great Russian Word” festival. They have either already been fired from their universities or are doing everything they can to achieve this.
I am deeply outraged by what is happening. This is another example of the cavernous Russophobia of the current Ukrainian “leadership”. For whom the word “Russian” is like sunshine for a vampire.
I admired the courage of the teachers who, despite such an atmosphere, still came to Crimea. After all, they are true professionals for whom improving their skills and communicating with colleagues is above fear.
Once again I was convinced: the “Great Russian Word” festival should also become a human rights platform. In particular, to respond to such precedents.
The organizing committee of the festival cannot stand aside: on my instructions, an appeal is already being prepared to international human rights organizations with a demand to stop the persecution of teachers from Ukraine for national and political reasons,” Kozenko noted in his blog.
