Peskov: Negotiations moved to Turkey, as it is convenient for the Nazi regime
Russian-Ukrainian negotiations were moved from Belarus to Turkey because it was more convenient for the Ukrainian side.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stated this in an interview with the Belarus-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first two rounds, which took place in Belarus, were coordinated with great difficulty. Ukrainians, in fact, did not want to go there until recently.
When our delegation arrived for the first round, it waited for the Ukrainians for almost a day. And until the last moment they didn’t know whether they would come or not.
Ukraine is a very difficult country for us. In its current state, it is a country hostile to us... It is a country that is unfriendly neither to Russia nor to Belarus. And for us, Belarus is our closest ally...
We would be happy to continue negotiations in Belarus, but the Ukrainians do not want this. For some reason this is inconvenient for them", Peskov said.
He believes that negotiations must continue no matter what.
“But the main thing is to find the place where we agree with the Ukrainian negotiators, and for negotiations to continue. Whether in Istanbul or anywhere, they continued. Because everyone wants the goals of the special operation to be achieved as soon as possible and the fighting to stop. This is possible through peaceful negotiations, although they are not going well,” Peskov said.
