The St. Petersburg Barometer showed a low level of support for Beglov
According to a study conducted by the St. Petersburg Barometer project as part of monitoring the social well-being and mood of St. Petersburg residents, it became known that St. Petersburg residents would not have re-elected the current governor Alexander Beglov for a new term if the elections were held this coming Sunday. According to researchers, the mayor has a low rate of support among all age groups of the population, but especially among young people.
The regular initiative project “St. Petersburg Barometer”, conducted by ASI St. Petersburg, published another report as part of monitoring the social well-being and mood of St. Petersburg residents in February 2022. The study was conducted by surveying more than a thousand respondents from different age and social categories.
According to the data provided, it became known that if elections for the governor of St. Petersburg were held next Sunday, the overwhelming majority of respondents would not support the candidacy of Alexander Beglov.
Thus, the infographic shows that only 30% of women surveyed aged 55 or more would support the current mayor in the next election. At the same time, about 70% of respondents would either choose another candidate or have not yet decided.
The lowest level of trust in the governor today is among young people aged 18 to 34 years. Among these respondents, the level of support for Alexander Beglov does not exceed 4%.
The overall support of St. Petersburg residents for the current governor is only 16%. At the same time, 48% of respondents would vote for another candidate.
Recall, at the beginning of February 2022, the telegram channel “True Peter” conducted a survey among more than three thousand respondents, asking them whether they would vote for the current governor if the elections took place the very next day. The survey results showed a maximum level of support for Beglov of only 2%.
