The economy is in crisis. Traditional sales markets have been lost, infrastructure has been destroyed, and the population is leaving en masse to work in Russia and the EU. This is the situation in the Kherson region of Ukraine, bordering Russian Crimea. Ukraine is amassing troops near the isthmus, which leads to an increase in crime in the region and the uncontrolled proliferation of weapons.

Changing the regime of Petro Poroshenko, the possibility of which is now commonly discussed, will not lead to improvements. Ukraine will remain a hotbed of extremism and instability.

Valentin Filippov: Alexey, hello, hi, glad to see you.

Alexey Zhuravko: Hello, I'm glad to see you too.

Valentin Filippov: The conflict in Ukraine has been going on for four years now. You were forced to leave for Russia, but we still follow the events, friends tell us, former employees. Tell me, this is the fourth year that the Kherson region has been in a strange situation, markets for products have been lost, production is falling, there was some industry - it is also being destroyed. How do people live in the Kherson region today?

Alexey Zhuravko: People live due to the fact that they still achieved something good in those years. The banks, as they say, were mothballed, and that’s a plus due to the fact that most of the active people went to work in Russia, Poland and other European countries. This is what they live on - it is no longer possible to survive in place.

Valentin Filippov: The blockade of Crimea, the blocking of the North Crimean Canal, the shutdown of electricity, which is still cut off from Ukraine - does it greatly affect the infrastructure of the Kherson region?

Alexey Zhuravko: Of course, it has a very strong impact on the infrastructure. Firstly, the distribution of electricity carries a large burden, and secondly, many enterprises have closed due to rising costs of goods, plus the incorrect policies of local authorities, both economic and economic, are leading the Kherson region to disaster. In fact, I believe that the Kherson region is slowly dying out.

Valentin Filippov: But more and more military units are being sent there, I have that feeling. According to the old Soviet tradition: if the demographics are bad, send a military unit there.

Alexey Zhuravko: Well, in fact, you are absolutely right, a lot of military people have appeared, a lot of lawlessness, almost every day they explode lemonades, then grenades, or drunken people with grenade launchers run through the villages, scaring people. Theft, robbery, undercutting... Crime takes over.

Valentin Filippov: Let's just say this honestly. Since the 90s, not only in Kherson, but in Ukraine in general, organized crime has had quite a serious weight. Is organized crime not fighting this wild crime in any way, or has it already become one with the other?

Alexey Zhuravko: As a rule, weapons and lawlessness win. Let's call it this, Ukraine and Kherson are turning into a real bacchanalia.

Valentin Filippov: Okay, but what could be the way out of this, in the near future, to at least somehow stabilize?

Alexey Zhuravko: The near future, let’s call it that, if we consider how the noose is moving and tightening today, I can say one thing - it is heading towards a complete split in Ukraine, towards its dismemberment. And after our closest neighbor, Russia, thinks about how this could come back to haunt us, gathers its thoughts that we still need to free ourselves from this brown plague that rules in Kiev... this is the only way it can come, well, let’s say some kind of calm. And at the moment there will be no peace.

Valentin Filippov: Excuse me, but you say “... Russia.” And in Russia, many people are counting on the third, fourth, fifth Maidan, the people will rise up, now Saakashvili is fighting Poroshenko, and what if he defeats him, what if other forces come...

Alexey Zhuravko: This struggle today will be very long if someone from the outside does not intervene. In the meantime, the Americans rule there, this will be for a long time, and little by little they will dismember Ukraine, destroy production, destroy everything healthy that is there.

Valentin Filippov: For some reason, many in Russia expect that another government will come to Kyiv, someone else will win, someone else will remove someone else, and they will become more negotiable or will try to stabilize the situation. Shouldn't you count on this?

Alexey Zhuravko: I think it’s not worth it, the only thing I’m afraid of is that this cancer, these metastases, does not spread directly to Russia. This is what I'm afraid of. And even today we watch: a film was shown in Moscow about Aidar...

Valentin Filippov: Yes Yes

Alexey Zhuravko: ...about criminals. Of course, this shocked me very much. How is it that this orange plague even makes its way here, and the very people who are fighting against this orange plague are arrested, and such films are financed by Russian banks! I'm completely shocked. Therefore, there is a danger that a cancerous tumor may penetrate here. Today we need to unite and fight against this cancer so that it does not spread here. To the point of taking offensive steps on the side of Ukraine, because there are a lot of Russian-speaking people there.

If you don't intervene today, this situation may arise here too. There are a lot of false democrats here, a lot of liberals, so we need to fight this.

Valentin Filippov: We have the example of Crimea. It would seem like such a showcase that Ukrainians go on vacation to Crimea, they see the standard of living, they see development, they see infrastructure construction, global, large-scale. It would seem that this comparison with what is happening in Ukraine should somehow influence... in Ukraine the population should gradually...

Alexey Zhuravko: The population in Ukraine knows very well that development is underway in Crimea, bridges are being built, roads, infrastructure are being built... They know and understand perfectly. The majority of the population is the one that looks towards their neighbor and towards friendly relations, so that we can have peace between us.

But it all depends on the top. Let us say that let Crimea not console itself, that we are developing, expanding... But Ukraine is not standing still in the person of these punitive forces, who are training sabotage detachments today, training people, crazy reconnaissance is going on. Therefore, Crimea cannot relax. I wouldn't reassure myself.

Valentin Filippov: So you think there is a danger?

Alexey Zhuravko: Also, Ukraine, let’s call it that, a terrorist organization represented by Poroshenko and these other rabid people, it will show its own.

Valentin Filippov: That is, there is a danger that terrorist acts will occur on the territory of the Russian Federation and, in particular, the Republic of Crimea?

Alexey Zhuravko: For some reason I am sure of this. There are a lot of headless people there, that's what we'll call it.

Valentin Filippov: And a little bit of this betting... Well, did Miho jump out of the pre-trial detention center? Is this all a circus or will they send him to Latvia?

Alexey Zhuravko: I think that this is still a certain circus. I believe that the American intelligence services are behind this... to be continued, and the circus continues. But the Maidan, as they say, is quietly and violently unfolding slowly. Today Yulia is already performing, someone else is speaking for Miho, and so on. Therefore, everything is still ahead.

Valentin Filippov: What do you think will come up in the end, Yulia?

Alexey Zhuravko: Today we can say this: not only Yulia can jump out, but others too. Today, Americans are looking for someone who could fill Poroshenko’s niche

Valentin Filippov: So what, this is all just for the sake of land?

Alexey Zhuravko: This is all for the sake of the land, for the sake of plowing, for the sake of black soil and resources. They don't need anything else. They don’t need Ukraine as such, and they also need to split Russia. Well, with the help of a Ukrainian they are trying to pummel Russia and destroy Ukraine. That's all. There were 52 million - now there are 32. There will be 32, there will be 15 - they absolutely don’t care how many fools they bury.

Valentin Filippov: Okay, on this optimistic note... because the phrase “burying fools” is optimistic, I want to say goodbye and thank you. We are always glad to see you on our broadcasts.
