Singer Vakarchuk demands negotiations with Russia “in the language of strength”
Russia does not accept concessions, so you need to talk to it only from a position of strength.
The twice failed Ukrainian politician, singer Svyatolav Vakarchuk stated this on the DW TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Vakarchuk, Western politicians in relations with the Russian Federation should not use traditional diplomatic methods.
“What can we do and what is our task? This is to convince the world that traditional diplomatic, chess negotiations with terrorist Russia are impossible. Of course, you need to talk to such people, but not positionally, not in the way Western leaders have been accustomed to doing for many years. Only the language of force and pressure can work against Russia, because you see that the more concessions you make to them, the more they take. And this is an absolutely imperial, medieval position,” the singer said.
“It seems that this country is located 500-700 years ago in history. Therefore, speaking to them in the language of the late twentieth century is absolutely futile, and little by little, step by step, European politicians and European people are beginning to understand this,” Vakarchuk said.
