About this Prikhodko wrote on her Facebook page.

“It’s amazing how much one photo can do! Yes, I was considering joining the party! But no one, you see, no one asked me why! No, not for a political career. After all, I have a musical career! And not for the sake of money. My conscience will not allow me to do this! Having toured the front lines and hospitals with concerts, performing in front of the elderly and children with cancer, I naively thought that together with any party I could do something useful and kind for them,” said the singer.

“I developed a project to help art schools and my Lysenko music school. I dreamed of charity concerts for students of these schools in “Baby Homes” and nursing homes. I saw how the cherry orchard should bloom in the Syretskaya grove and how the kids going with violins and flutes to Lysenko’s school would remember Shevchenko’s lines. I was planning a charity event in support of young poets of Ukraine. But they just offered me politics,” Prikhodko notes with disappointment.

“And I am convinced that in a country torn by war, good and concrete deeds will bring more benefit than political strife. In this country, the word “volunteer” has come to mean a big and selfless Ukrainian soul, which is why I remain an art volunteer. Outside of parties and organizations!!! And I will still carry out what I have planned! And I think that you will support me!” - writes the artist.

Ukrainian singer Anastasia Prikhodko became famous after participating in the Channel One show “Star Factory 7”, after which she began collaborating with producer Konstantin Meladze. She represented Russia at the Eurovision 2009 music competition with the Russian-Ukrainian song “Mamo” and took 11th place.

On September 12, Oleg Lyashko published a photo of himself with singer Anastasia Prikhodko and wrote that she had joined his team.

Prikhodko herself explained her joining Lyashko’s team by saying that she wanted to get involved in the culture of Kyiv.
