Poroshenko's PR man is outraged by the refusal of the Boryspil team to name the airport in honor of Mazepa

“The procedure for assigning the name of an individual to legal entities operating on the basis of state property is regulated by the Law of Ukraine “On assigning to legal entities and objects of ownership rights the names (pseudonyms) of individuals, anniversaries and holidays, names and dates of historical events.” According to paragraph 5 of Article 3 of this Law, the initiative to expand the name of the State Enterprise “Boryspil International Airport” must undergo wide public discussion and be approved by the labor collective of the enterprise,” the Ministry of Infrastructure said.
At the same time, the trade union of the State Enterprise “Boryspil International Airport” did not support the initiative to change the name. Therefore, despite the results of the vote, which took place in the summer on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the name of the Boryspil airport will remain unchanged.
“The other day I turned 47. Of those years, I have known about the existence of “Borispol” for forty years. During this time, my radars, tuned to socio-political signals since childhood, never recorded the fact of the existence of trade unions at this airport. But it turns out they exist! And for what ?! And in order to fight Mazepa! If more than three hundred years ago Ukraine had not been ruled by the one about whom contemporaries said “from Bogdan to Ivan there was no hetman,” the world would never have known about the Boryspil trade unions.”
This is how Petro Poroshenko’s adviser and active propagandist of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” Oleg Medvedev reacted to the decision of the labor collective of the Boryspil airport, which refused to rename the airport in honor of Hetman Ivan Mazepa.
“What good, they will also declare an anathema on him at this Boryspil airfield named after the Moscow Patriarchate. What a crazy situation. And why was there a competition if, it turns out, everything is decided by the “work collective”. And in “Borispol”, besides renaming, it depends on the team?” Poroshenko’s PR man is indignant on his page on the social network.
