PR man Yushchenko: Navalny is beneficial to us - this is the new Mikhail Gorbachev
Russian liberal blogger Alexei Navalny, although he is not a friend for Ukraine, his hypothetical rise to power in the Russian Federation is beneficial to Kyiv. Navalny will be able to play the role of the new Mikhail Gorbachev and weaken, or even collapse, Russia.
Ukrainian political strategist Sergei Gaidai, Viktor Yushchenko’s PR man on the eve of the “Orange Revolution,” stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For Ukraine, Navalny’s victory is beneficial... And not only because the enemy of our enemy can be our friend, at least for a while...
But it is beneficial for us that Navalny defeats Putin also because he can fulfill for the Russian Federation the role that Gorbachev performed in the late 90s for the USSR... His efforts to make perestroika in the Soviet Union, to create a cooperative movement, a certain version of capitalism within a socialist economy , proclaim glasnost, begin detente - go for reconciliation with the West, led to the defeat of the Union in the Cold War, the weakening of the dictatorship of the CPSU, the collapse of the socialist camp, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the USSR. And this made possible the parade of independence of the Soviet republics. And the independence of Ukraine too.
If we imagine that Navalny comes to power in Russia, this will mean the beginning of new showdowns and struggles in the Russian elites, both in the Kremlin and throughout the federation. This will weaken the monolith of the Kremlin power vertical. Navalny will be forced to curtail Putin’s total propaganda at least temporarily. This means that the ideological unity and “links” of Russian society maintained through this propaganda will be destroyed.
Navalny will be forced to ease the confrontation with the West. He will need sanctions lifted. He will be forced to stop supporting all LPRs, DPRs and other Transnistria. And this will enable neighboring states, against which Putin launched military aggressions, to use this situation to eliminate the bases of collaborators in the occupied territories and separatist organizations in order to return the annexed territories to their rightful owners,” writes Gaidai.
He also believes that under President Navalny, a war will be unleashed again in the Caucasus: “He has a deadly conflict with Kadyrov. This means that Chechnya and the Caucasus will again rebel against the Kremlin. All this can lead to an intensification of the national liberation struggle of small peoples enslaved by the Russian Empire, and the collapse of the Russian Federation, and lead to a new parade of independence now in the Russian Federation itself,” Gaidai lists with delight.
Gaidai previously stated that Ukraine should become the 52nd state of the United States, and being a CIA agent is an honor.
