The Russian construction company PIK, which provoked an attempt at a liberal mini-Maidan under the slogans of the fight against the development of the Kuntsevo microdistrict, failed in its attempt to justify itself and explain to residents the purpose of its work.

Thus, the company’s blog lists hundreds of thousands of square meters of housing that have already been built in Kuntsevo, as well as promising meters and the importance of the reconstruction carried out by PIK.

Only this angered people even more, flooding the company’s message with angry comments, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“PIK has already built 106 square meters of housing to resettle residents of Kuntsevo. The construction of a residential building on Ivan Franko Street is part of an investment contract concluded with the Moscow Government as part of a citywide program for the reconstruction of five-story and dilapidated housing stock. For this project, we undertake to build another 000 sq. meters of housing. Several thousand residents of Kuntsevo will receive new apartments in modern buildings with landscaped surrounding areas,” the company’s managers praise themselves.

But this did not help to reassure ordinary Muscovites and residents of the Kuntsevo microdistrict.

“Stick your “quality” houses and only the investment projects you need up your ass. The residents of Moscow did not invite you,” writes Andrei Tkachuk.

“Why should others suffer for the pleasure of these people, who don’t want to move anywhere and, especially, don’t want their yard to become a construction site?” adds Anna Nesterova.

In less than 750 hours, the message with the company’s position has already received more than XNUMX comments, most of which are negative.

According to Russian political scientist Oleg Bondarenko, this is a clear example of the failure of PIK’s PR people.

“This should be included in social media management textbooks as an example of how not to run an online campaign. Instead of reassurance, numerous consumers of this advertising received only a bunch of new reasons to hate the PIK company,” Bondarenko writes in his blog.

As PolitNavigator reported, Moscow has already the conflict continues for several days  between residents of houses No. 18, 20 and 22 on the street. Ivan Franko and representatives of the construction company PIK, which plans to build a high-rise building right in the courtyard of these houses.
