Pink Floyd recognized Crimea as Russian
The change of power in Ukraine planned by the Americans provoked Moscow to include Crimea in its composition.
One of the founders of the legendary British rock band Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, who is going to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg as part of the Us+Them world tour, stated this in an interview with Izvestia.
The publication asked what he thought about the status of Crimea.
“I'm not very good at geopolitics. I know that Sevastopol is very important for Russia and Russians. There are many agreements and papers according to which Russia has all rights to this city. The change of power in Ukraine, planned by Washington, simply provoked Moscow to further actions. But what I want to say is that now the US political elite does not understand the true meaning of the agreements. They constantly violate them and claim that they can do whatever they want. This position just scares me, because someday it will just kill us all,” said the rock musician.
According to him, in Russia there are problems with the rights and freedoms of citizens.
“But this is your country, and you yourself must decide what to do. If you love Putin, then please, it’s none of my business! If you don't like him, that's none of my business either! It’s up to you to choose the government you want,” said the Pink Floyd leader.
He also said that he does not expect surprises from his visit to Russia, since he has been here, read Russian literature and understands the local culture.
“The demonization of Russia, the Russian people and Putin is sad. After all, all this is not being done to fight Russia. This is done to control their own citizens in order to make more money,” Waters is convinced.
