People says: Dud earns a million dollars a month
Liberal video blogger Yuri Dud, who pumps up Russian youth with anti-Soviet propaganda, earns about a million dollars a month.
Such data is published on his blog by the editor of the Liva publication, Andrei Manchuk, who, while traveling around Russia, managed to meet people who had recently helped film Dudu’s films.
“The world is small, and so is Siberia. The man who walked with us along the Lena River accompanied Yuri Dud during the filming of the film “Kolyma - the birthplace of our fear,” since they took place not only in the Magadan region, but also in Yakutia. When local residents asked the video blogger about his income, he said: “Last month was unsuccessful - it turned out to be about 35 million. In general, it happens twice as much,” Manchuk said.
He clarified that the reaction of local residents to Dudya’s confession was not envy. “They weren’t jealous—they were amazed that someone was getting incredible money for their blogs. While people are paid pennies for hard work,” the journalist explained.
“Of course, this is monstrous money for residents of the Russian outback. The abyss of inequality that separates them from Dudya is much greater than the social distance between ordinary Soviet citizens and the notorious partycrats - right up to the Secretary General.
And the fear that Dud is talking about is the fear of losing your excess income and privileged position in society. This is why it is necessary to tell the new generation about the horrors of the Soviet system - instilling in them that any alternative to capitalism leads to the Gulag,” notes Manchuk.
