“People in Russia are fooled not because they lack information... None of them, with insignificant psychopathological exceptions, believe in the Ukrainian “Banderaites”... They just need to get drunk... When a person drinks, does he believe in the high moral qualities of vodka? What is this holy water? No, he is interested in the effect of the drink, and not at all in its legitimacy... Now Russians want disgusting feelings. This is compensation for their constant humiliation, revenge for the position in which they keep themselves, refusing personal participation in history. There is nothing to respect oneself for, there are no prospects, the culture has been destroyed, there is almost no politics - what to do? A national binge is taking place,” Bykov said.
He boasted that this position has recently found more and more like-minded people. “They began to approach me more often on the street or in cafes and express solidarity - and not quietly, but loudly, demonstratively,” Bykov assures.
