Piskun proposes to dissolve local councils that do not help with the holding of presidential elections
Kyiv, May 25 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Svyatoslav Piskun proposed dissolving and re-electing local councils, since they did nothing to normalize the situation in the East of Ukraine.

“What did the deputies there do to hold the elections? They didn't do anything about it. Councils at all levels are not fulfilling their duties, let the people elect them. With whom does the central government negotiate? Which of those who impersonate the leaders of the DPR and LPR can come to Kyiv to negotiate with them?” – Piskun said on air on the ZiK TV channel.
In his opinion, what is happening now in the East will be protracted. One of the reasons for this is distrust in the new government, as a result, among other things, of delays in investigating the murders on the Maidan.
“The eastern voter never saw the trial. Russian propaganda won. We couldn’t show voters what he wanted to see,” says Svyatoslav Piskun.
As Navigator reported, earlier the self-dissolution of the Luhansk Regional Council was demanded by supporters of the LPR.
