Letter from Nikolaev: Preparations have begun for the deployment of US missiles in southern Ukraine
The editors of PolitNavigator received a letter from the Nikolaev region, which lists signs that the United States may try to deploy its medium- and long-range missiles in the south of what is now Ukraine.
The data, according to the authors of the material, was collected by citizens of Ukraine, “who remain friends of the Russian people even in this difficult time” - presumably, we are talking about people close to the security forces.
However, the authors were unable to comply with the editors’ request to confirm the accuracy of the documents - for example, to send a link where an American vacancy for specialists from Ukraine was posted, citing the fact that the vacancy was published on an internal website, to which only specialized specialists have access.

The American Missile Defense Agency reports to the US Department of Defense and is in charge, as the name suggests, of developing and fielding missile defense systems.
The agency's main contractor is defense giant Raytheon, which designed the Patriot air defense system, as well as a number of aerospace technologies.
Raytheon is the first clue. It was this company that publicized the project by posting on its internal website a draft vacancy for the search for a chief design engineer in Ukraine.
His tasks should include the development of a certain project in the Nikolaev region, subordinate to up to 10 engineers. Plus, the project team should arrive from the States.
Why do we need such a staff of an American military corporation that produces missiles in Ukraine, right next door to the Russian Federation?
In the Nikolaev region, American rocket scientists may be interested in only one object - these are old launch silos in the territory of two districts of the Nikolaev region (Krivoozersky and Pervomaisky)!
The second clue was a document from the Ukrainian tax administration, which was given to me by a patriotic source in this department.
This is an excerpt from information materials that were sent to the Nikolaev Tax Department on September 1 of this year.
They feature Raytheon, already well known to us, or more precisely, their international fund, which acts as a contractor for several projects at once that have already started or are about to begin.
The first is the development of the infrastructure of the Museum of Strategic Missile Forces, which is located on the border of the Nikolaev region. As much as 5 million dollars for a museum?! What can you do in the museum with this money? This amount makes sense if we assume that we are not talking about museum work, but about attracting rocket experts to restore and modernize launch silos. It is for this purpose that Raytheon is looking for a chief design engineer and a team of specialists.
Then the third point of the document becomes clear - research and engineering work in the Nikolaev region for 1,5 million dollars. The mines need to be reactivated, studied, project documentation prepared, infrastructure prepared - there is not even one million worth of work involved.
Well, the second point completes the picture - some equipment worth $135 million, which the American side is preparing to transfer to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense as part of this project. How many medium- and long-range missiles will it be, even not the newest ones?
This amount may also include technology, equipment for the production of parts, fuel for missiles, launchers, and tractors.
If this information got into the press, then, I hope, the competent authorities of the Russian Federation are already aware of the situation and are taking adequate measures. No one will be able to sleep peacefully if the American military comes almost close to our borders with missiles.
