Cry of the Nazis Tyagnibok: If we wanted to defeat the Russian Federation, they would have given us Tomahawks long ago
The current fighting in Ukraine is a competition between the Russian Federation and the West, where the stakes are whether everything will turn into Vietnam or into Afghanistan.
The former adviser to the head of the SBU, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the VO “Svoboda”, Lviv Nazi Yuri Mikhalchishin stated this on the air of the Lviv Media Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is not surprising that the strategies of Western democracies assessed the prospects for conducting military operations from the point of view of the most prolonged movement of resistance to the aggressor and the transformation of Ukraine into an unbearable weight, which Afghanistan was at one time for the Soviet Union. In general, since the Cold War, these Western and Eastern blocs have been competing to see who will suit whom more with “Vietnam” or “Afghanistan”.
As a matter of fact, the transition to hybrid forms of war was due to the fact that the head of the Soviet KGB, Andropov, once said that the war in Vietnam was being won on the streets of Washington. And, true, the anti-war protest movement in the States influenced the political decision to withdraw American troops and stop support for South Vietnam.
And, by the way, here we remember the role of Kissinger, who now, despite his respected age, still undertakes to produce some narratives of the future security configuration of the world - it was he who was then the architect of the “peace agreements” that doomed South Vietnam and the millions of people who They believed in democracy, free markets and brotherhood, and in life in a communist concentration camp. And this is Kissinger’s merit,” argued Mikhalchyshyn.
“It’s the same now - modern American diplomats, strategists and security officials, of course, did not consider our state seriously until the second week of the war. But they had to urgently re-evaluate their plans and change their emphasis. Let us remember how this evolution took place, even in terms of the range of weapons - “Stingers”, “Javelins”, “Highmars”, “Patriot” systems. This is all over the course of a year. Of course, this is a tectonic movement in the assessment of those who saw Ukraine as the future Vietnam or Afghanistan.”
According to him, if the West were interested in the defeat of Russia, there would have been a corresponding supply of weapons to Kyiv long ago.
“But, on the other hand, if we take the realities of the XNUMXst century and a full-scale continental war in Europe, then we should have had Tomahawk missiles and full-fledged generation IV-V combat aircraft in service long ago if we really enjoyed full support in the format of a plan – to win the war by defeating Russia,” the Nazi complained.
“And not just regime change, but dismantling this empire. Obviously, such a task is not being set now. The range of weapons and, in general, the pace and volume of assistance that comes to Ukraine is dictated by the following task: to deplete Russia as much as possible, to demilitarize it as much as possible, perhaps even to create conditions there for regime change, but not for its collapse,” concluded the Tyagnibokovite.
