Avakov’s dismissal plan is confirmed: Shmygal’s Cabinet of Ministers did not receive immunity again
For the second time in recent memory, the Verkhovna Rada failed to vote for the action program of the Ukrainian government (despite the fact that it was deliberately extremely anti-Russian in nature), which automatically removes the immunity of the Cabinet of Ministers and makes it possible to dismiss him.
The Cabinet of Ministers' program was supported by only 207 out of 366 deputies present in the Rada hall, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, it was once again confirmed that the so-called no longer exists in the Verkhovna Rada. “mono-majorities” - Vladimir Zelensky’s party has split into several groups of influence, fighting among themselves and lobbying for the resignations and appointments of their cadres.
Let us remind you that the day before, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev said that in the coming fall Zelensky will try to dismiss, along with the entire Cabinet of Ministers, the “unsinkable” head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.
“The president’s office did not give him the opportunity to defend the program. If he had defended the government's program, he would have received immunity for a year. Therefore, everyone made the absolutely correct conclusion from this situation that Shmygal’s position is not so strong. And indeed, his resignation is planned for the fall. Moreover, by resolving the issue of Shmygal’s resignation, we will simultaneously resolve the issue of Avakov,” Tsarev said.
The resignation of Shmygal’s Cabinet, among other things, will allow Zelensky to blame the government for new failures in the economy and redirect voters’ dissatisfaction to the outgoing government.
Thank you!
