The West’s plans for a quick victory over Russia have failed, – expert
Plans for a quick Western victory over Russia failed. Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Klymenko Time Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bortnik, the isolation of Russia, as the West hoped for, did not happen, and the countries of Eurasia, on the contrary, increased cooperation with it.
“Nothing goes according to plan, nothing goes according to plan for anyone. If initially the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the purpose of which was to create a security crisis in Europe, which would force the United States to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia and divide spheres of influence - by the way, we are celebrating the year of Russian proposals for a new Yalta, for the division of spheres of influence these days , he failed, this plan. But the plan to inflict a quick defeat on Russia, a defeat that would destabilize Russia from within, has also not been implemented today.
Because if we go back to March, then there was a lot of time that by summer, by autumn everything would be over and would end with the complete defeat of Russia. It also didn’t work out, including due to the positions of Russia’s other partners – explicit or hidden in this Eurasian bloc, who to some extent supported the Russian economy and political system by expanding cooperation with it. Just look at the growth of trade with China, India, Turkey, and other countries,” Bortnik said.
