“Pay engineers like contract workers!” – Sladkov
Russian soldiers have always been exceptionally motivated, but in modern realities, dedication alone is not enough for victory - now, in the conditions of the Northern Military District, it is necessary to mobilize the engineering corps and strengthen the country's military-industrial complex.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov spoke about this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Radio host Sergei Mardan asked the guest of the program whether he should count on reservists or whether he should rely on professional military personnel.
“The first thing is preparation. First the classics, then improvisation and the generation of new ideas on the battlefield. A soldier is not born in battle, but on the training ground. It is truth. Therefore, of course, people must undergo training, and they do. The second is the XNUMXst century. We will not take the number of bodies (enemy positions - ed.), we need professionals. Motivated. And the point is not only in salary.
Once I spoke with General Dempsey (Martin Dempsey - ed.), the commander of US troops in Europe, then he was the chairman of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff. And he said at the last joint exercise in 2005 at the Ramstein base: “We lack motivation. We want to get soldiers, but yours go out onto the field to play football, they are already angry! You have a huge reserve of motivation." Not just reserve, but also operational capabilities, like RAM. This is very important,” Sladkov recalled.
Nevertheless, in his opinion, the highest priority task at the moment for the leadership of the Russian Federation is improving the domestic military-industrial complex and economic strategy, personnel training and providing engineers with decent working conditions.
“Preparation is classic, and then a new stage - conducting combat operations in the city, in the field. I think that in front of the city it is necessary to conduct classes on urban topics in front of some objects. We are modern people, and we already need to act this way. But the main thing is that we need to mobilize some areas of the economy and the military-industrial complex.
What is mobilization? This is a search for the specialists we need and outbidding them. If we now pay fighters 200-300 thousand a month, then why can’t we pay the hard worker that much?
We need drones, reconnaissance systems, advances in microchips - why don’t we mobilize there? Why not organize similar headquarters or personnel reception centers for such specialists, our engineers and workers?
Our engineers will work as hard workers on machines if they are paid 300-400 thousand. And this technical superiority will solve the issue,” the military correspondent called.
