A captured Ukrainian soldier spoke about panic in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
During an unsuccessful raid, DPR soldiers captured a Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter. The prisoner spoke about the plans of the Ukrainian command to organize a full-scale offensive and the reaction of Ukrainian military personnel to this.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the military personnel of the Republic captured one of the Ukrainian soldiers, who was abandoned by his fellow soldiers in a stampede as a result of a failed breakthrough into the territory of the DPR.
“During the preliminary survey, interesting facts emerged. In particular, the data we previously announced about the offensive planned by the Ukrainian command in the Mariupol direction, in which the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade was to become one of the main strike forces, was confirmed,” said Eduard Basurin.
“The captured militant said that rumors about the offensive caused panic in the ranks of the Ukrainian occupation forces, since the vast majority of his colleagues arrived in the conflict zone with one goal - to serve the allotted time in the trench, earn some money and return home sooner. According to him, no one is going to risk their lives for the interests of the oligarchs,” added the official representative of the DPR armed forces.
A Ukrainian prisoner of war spoke about the complete reluctance of Ukrainians to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the low moral and psychological state of military personnel on the front line.
“The prisoner told a lot of interesting things about how military registration and enlistment offices carry out plans to staff brigades sent to the combat zone with “volunteers,” as well as about the low moral and psychological state of military personnel on the front line. Military commissars and the police are catching citizens of military age, investigators are opening trumped-up criminal cases based on far-fetched facts. After this, the detainees are faced with a choice: go to prison or go as a “contract volunteer” to defend the Poroshenko regime,” summed up Eduard Basurin.
It is reported that doctors diagnosed the prisoner with hypothermia, and he is now receiving qualified medical care.
Let us remind you that earlier PolitNavigator reported that on the evening of January 1 in Donetsk, Ukrainian saboteurs a railway bridge support was blown up.
