A case of malaria was recorded in Kharkov. According to doctors, the disease was brought to Ukraine by a citizen of the Republic of Cameroon, who was in the city of Yaounde, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the Kharkov Regional State Administration.

It is reported that on January 25, the Cameroonian felt unwell and weak, soon he developed chills, and his temperature rose to 39 degrees. Three days later, the patient was hospitalized at the regional infectious diseases hospital, where, after tests, doctors diagnosed him with malaria.

“A foreigner in the regional infectious diseases hospital. The condition is stable, he received anti-molar therapy, was in intensive care, but is now being transferred to a regular department,” the Kharkov regional state administration reported.
