“Was it bad under Dodon? Take responsibility"
President-elect Maia Sandu should not provoke protests by farmers on the streets of Chisinau, but take full responsibility for the situation in the country.
Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Zinaida Greceanii stated this on air on the NTV Moldova television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He who sows hatred will reap hatred. I don't say this with anger. We have an elected president. I wish that all the promises made during the election campaign will be fulfilled and reassure society. They will dismiss the government, appoint a new one, create a parliamentary majority, and let them take responsibility.
Just gather people in the square and bring out the farmers who received the largest subsidies. Who provoked this? Who sowed hatred in society? Was it bad under Dodon? Please! We have never held on to power,” Greceanyi said.
She spoke in favor of holding early parliamentary elections. Regarding Moldova’s economic problems, the speaker is confident that if the pro-Western opposition had not blocked the receipt of a Russian loan, “everything would have been perfect.”
